Cargo report for 2022 by containers

We are improving the transparency of HUCUS, and you are welcome to see our cargo and recipients report for 2022. In 2022, the HUCUS team delivered 118,419.1 lbs of humanitarian cargo to Ukraine during the war.

The primary recipients were prominent Ukrainian NGOs that worked on the ground with people, hospitals, children, and civilians.

Recipient: SPIVDIA 

Cargo: 94,181.4 lbs of hygienic products (wet wipes), delivered in three 40’ containers via sea through Dnipro LLC.

Recipient: Korporatsia Monstriv 

Cargo: 24,237.7 lbs of medical beds, medical equipment, medical supplies, medical consumables, warm clothes, etc., delivered in two 40’ containers via sea through Dnipro LLC and Hapag Lloyd AG.

The market value of delivered in-kind cargo in 2022 was approximately $4.8 million. This data was synchronized with our IRS report for 2022.

What is an in-kind donation?

An in-kind donation is a non-cash gift made to a nonprofit organization. Contributions can include time, services, expertise, goods, and cargo, often from large businesses and individuals.

Since in-kind donations don’t come in the form of physical cash, these donations are recorded as monetary values, determined by the fair market price we’d otherwise pay for the goods or services we receive. This value is recorded on our financial statements.
